All entrants must be residents of
Ohio.
Entries must be received by XXXXXXX, 200?. Beads must be the primary element
in the work. The work must be an original design of the artist. Entries must
be recent works no more than five years old.
Mailed entries must be submitted as 35mm slides (2"x2") or
color photographs of the completed work. A set of coordinating pieces intended
as one work must be photographed together in the manner in which you would prefer
them to be displayed. Two slides or photographs per work are required: one full
view and one detail. (Digital images are also accepted. Be sure to include the
following information on your images.)
The front of each slide or the back of each photograph must include:
Slides and photographs that are not accepted for the exhibit will be returned if a large self-addressed stamped envelope accompanies the entry.
Entrants must be members of the Athens
Bead Society. Current memberships must be paid in full at time of entry. Membership
includes two entries. A $5 entry fee must accompany additional entries. This
form may be copied.

The Athens Bead Society will notify
accepted entries by mail or E-mail. Further information will be provided at
that time.
Slides and photographs of accepted entries shall become the property of the
Athens Bead Society. Work should arrive at XXXXXXX by XXXXX, or be personally
delivered to the Trisolini Gallery on XXXXXX. Works that are significantly different
from entry material may be rejected.
The artist shall be responsible for all shipping costs and insurance for the
work while in transit. Work should be shipped in a reusable container appropriate
for the piece. The Athens Bead Society will not be held responsible for damage
due to incorrect packaging or insufficient container. All works will be handled
with the utmost care and returned in its original packaging. Area Artists may
arrange a pickup date for their work between XXXXXXXXXXXX.
The Trisolini Gallery carries insurance
for the duration of the show, from the point of entering the gallery to the
point of exiting the gallery. All sales will be divided 70% to the artist, 20%
to the Athens Bead Society, and 10% towards an Ohio University student art supply
scholarship.
A member of the Athens Bead Society in charge of the jury will select jurors. The jury will consist of beadworkers, artists, and other members of the community.
The jury shall determine awards. Awards will include, but are not limited to: Best of Show and category awards such as Best Jewelry. The awards will be given at the awards ceremony on XXXX XX from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. during the opening reception.
The Gallery will only be open when Athens Bead Society members sit the gallery. Please let us know which days and hours of the week you will be available. We do not have a minimum work requirement, but reserve the right to set one if we do not have enough volunteered time.
