STRINGING WITH FLEXWIRE

1) Design your piece.
|
|
2) Choose Flexwire
diameter and length. You will need at leaste one bead at each end
that will accomodate two pieces of wire through it's hole. Length + 3
= length of Flexwire |
 3) String one wire crimp
then a clasp. Use soldered clasps and rings. If your clasp is nor
soarou ldered use two soldered rings and attach your clasp to one. |

4) Crimp the wire by placing the crimp in the crimping tool at the divitted groove and squeezing. (B) This puts a dent in the crimp. (C) Now place the crimp in the other part of the tool standing the crimp tall with the dent at the side and squeeze. (D) This folds the crimp onto itself. (E) Check the crimp after crimping by pulling on the clasp. The wire should not slide. If it does slide, squish the crimp again. |

5) String on
your beads from one end to the other making sure to tuck the short
end of the wire into the beads. You may need to trim the wire so that
it sits in one bead at the end if it will not fit through all of your
beads. (E)

| 6) String on one wire crimp then a ring. Thread the Flexwire around the ring and through the crimp creating a loop at the end of the wire to hold the ring. (A) If the wire fits pull it through several beads. |
| 7) Tighten up the slack in the wire by pushing the crimp away from the beads and pulling the end of the wire leaving enough space to let the clasp move freely. Shape the piece into a circle to make sure there is enough slack, especially when using large beads. |
| 8) Check your length and crimp. Once you have it the way you want it crimp as before. (C)(D) Check the crimp after crimping by pulling on the clasp. |

9) Trim the excess wire and pop the end into a bead. Now you have a finished piece of jewelry. |

10) : Other Ideas:
If you don't want to put beads all the way around be sure to put a
bead at the clasp ends to hide your wire.(F) Place crimps at the
sides of beads that you want to float or keep centered.(G) |
